What are some of the benefits of regular Qigong [Chi Kung] practice?

Chi Kung (Qi Gong) is one of a group of ancient and comprehensive systems of NO IMPACT body movements and breathing exercises aimed at stimulating, potentiating, and manipulating the life force or vital energy. This vital energy is called Chi in China, Prana or Cretna in India, Ase in Yorubaland, West Africa, Ki in Japan, Aloha among the Hawaiians, Ankh among the ancient Egyptians, and is implied in the Native American greeting of Mitakiyasin. The practice of body-mind energy manipulation is not unique to Chinese culture. Not at all! It is part of our human ancestral legacy. There is no indigenous culture in the world or in known history that has been void of a recognition of this life force; or of a ritualized method of tapping into it. And as you will discover should you read my book, The 18 Mudra System of Qigong, you have been doing natural qigong techniques all of your life. Even in the womb. Qigong is a stylizes method of raising these natural tendencies to the level of a discipline. The regular practice of Qigong can:

* Strengthen the immune system
* Tone the muscles
* Adds flexibility to the joints
* Repairs and revitalizes body tissues
* Increases energy and stamina
* Produces a deep level of relaxation and calm

Additionally, regular [Chi Kung] practice can help you to:

* Improve your respiratory health
* Increase your aerobic capacity
* Increase the efficiency of your energy metabolism
* Provide a deep internal massage to the abdominal organs promoting enhanced gastrointestinal peristalsis, improve digestion and absorption of nutrients, and elimination of toxins and waste from the system.

Chi Kung is practiced by millions of people around the world, both old and young. It induces a state of deep tranquility and facilitates the release of natural body chemicals and hormones that are important in stress management, controlling pain, eliminating depression, and preempting disease.
