This website is dedicated to the Students of Seifu A.S. Umar Sharif, MA. It is also dedicated to the promotion and propagation of the Traditional Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts. Our goal is to inform, educate, inspire, encourage, and motivate others to improve their lives by applying The Wisdom of the Ancients.

As your teacher and host, Seifu Sharif [aka: Xia` Xue' Gong] [aka: Tobi Alakoso] is dedicated to helping each of you to remember and nurture the Spirit of Wu-Te and the powers dormant within you.

Why should I be involved in studying the Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts?

The old notion that someone else is responsible for your health is simply too costly!

The baby boomers and their descendants can expect to live far longer than most of their immediate ancestors. And on most everyone's mind is the question of quality of life. There is a BIG difference between living longer in a state of progressive degeneration and dis-ease, and living longer in a state of High Level Wellness. But that's only one set of answers to the question!

There is also a BIG difference between a corporation and workforce that is functioning in an environment that encourages and supports high level wellness goals, and one that does not. There is also a BIG difference between a generation of children who have been given the opportunity to explore, question, understand, and come to value the wonder of human life and all life; and a generation who has not.

bodyoutline.gifAccording to recent reports, some 64% of the American public is overweight. And obesity among our children is termed epidemic by experts. The social and financial costs of these facts can not be overstated. Hundreds of thousands of lives and billions of dollars in productivity. Although most sports can facilitate physical fitness and collegiality, traditional martial and healing arts training is unique in its ability to bridge the culturally generated mind-body-spirit gaps. Traditional Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts training incorporates physical training, character development, mental development, social conscience, metaphysical understanding, and the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment into a single Way or Path. This Way or Path becomes more than a mere activity that the individual turns to now and again. The Way or Path becomes the individual and in time no separation can be made between the two. Traveler and the Road Traveled become One!

For executives and business people of all ages and categories, this training can enhance physical health, mental alertness and agility, self-confidence, creativity and intuition. For certain obvious professionals and for the general student, the self-defense, security, and healing aspects of the training can be lifesaving. As an avenue for exploring the process of cultural diversification, a study of the martial and healing arts can take us across every continent and as far back in our ancestoral history as anthropology and archeology have reached their arms. These are just a few reasons for you to become involved in a program of study in the Afro Asian Martial and Healing Arts.
