Traditional Ifa Festivals

As devotees to the Ifa Tradition it is important that we strive to stay connected to the Source. Celebrating the Traditional Annual Festivals at the time that they are being celebrated in Ile-Ife is an important part of that process of staying connected. Below is a list of the Annual Festivals. As I continue my journey with the Emese we will share the history, significance, and images of each of the primary festivals. I will also share the Emese's recommendations on how you can celebrate the Festivals wherever you are in the world.

I was first introduced to the Ogun Olojo Festival in October of 2011. It was being celebrated during the period of my initiation as Oluranse Emese.

The Ogun Olojo Festival in commemoration of the role and importance of Ogun as the Orisa who led the way from Orun (Heaven, the Place of Creation) and for his making the ARE Crown.

July 2018 - Just completed adding more images to the Photo Gallery for 2017. Beautiful images!

The Ogun Olojo Festival Gallery has been updated to link to the annual images by year (2016, 2017, 2018), making it more convenient for you to access specific images you liked. This years festival will come in October.
