I honor your gods, I drink from your wells, I bring an undefended heart to our meeting place. I have no cherished outcomes, I will not negotiate by withholding, and I am not subject to disappointment. I am here! And They are all here with me! Ase! Ase! Ase!
Lord of my Ancestors, I have no knowledge except that which is given to me through inspiration, that which is sent to me by way of an angel, and that which I am blessed to acquire by way of some discipline. I thank you for guiding my words, my thoughts, and my actions so that all that I say and do may serve to point the seekers in the right direction. Ase! Ase! Ase!

In Part I of this discussion of the Truth (8) of Ifa, we left off with an excerpt from the text, The Mystical Qabalah: ‘If we intend to take our occult studies seriously and make of them anything more than desultory light reading, we must choose our system and carry it out faithfully until we arrive, if not at its ultimate goal, at any rate at definite practical results and a permanent enhancement of consciousness. After this has been achieved we may, not without advantage, experiment with the methods that have been developed upon other Paths, and build up an eclectic technique and philosophy therefrom; but the student who sets out to be an eclectic before he has made himself an expert will never be anything more than a dabbler.’
The few can easily manipulate the many if the masses of people remain dabblers into the wisdom of our Egun (Ancestors) and the confirmations of modern science, (especially Quantum Physics). Most of our personal problems, and our national and international tensions and conflicts, emerge from a perception of the L’oja (‘reality’) that is rooted in the ideas of limitation and separateness. Ifa summons us to the notions of Isopo (connectivity), Isoki (contraction/contrast), and Na Wa (expansion) because it is only with this basic understanding that we can bring about true integration of self and unification of peoples. This is true in both the interpersonal and international spheres of life.
It is increasingly accepted as fact in the modern scientific community and has long been understood in the Corpus of the Ifa Spiritual Tradition of Ancestor and Orisa Worship that, everything is energy, and everything is connected to everything else. The water in the ocean, and the clouds in the sky are from a single energetic source. This includes the trees and the animals, you, me, and the world around us. Everything comes from the same source and returns to it. Everything is one. Thoughts and feelings are energy as well, so everything we think and feel has an influence on everything and everyone on this planet and elsewhere. In this way, we create our own reality, because mind rules over matter, each a different vibration of the same thing, The ASE. This is the fundamental precept of the Eighth Truth of Ifa - We are part of the Universe (Multi-verse) in a literal, not figurative, way! Or expressed in different words – Everything that we perceive, think, or imagine is an expression of Consciousness, the Consciousness of Orisun (SOURCE).
Let’s consider the language of The Kybalion – Hermetic Philosophy.
“While All is in THE ALL, it is equally true that THE ALL is in All. To him who truly understands this truth hath come great knowledge.” It goes on to say, “the Universe is Mental – held in the Mind of THE ALL.” The wisdom is wonderful and beautiful once we begin to put the pieces together to form the bigger picture. It’s not the importance of the words, but the importance of the ideas that the words are pointing us too. “THE ALL is Imminent in (‘remaining within; inherent; abiding within’) its Universe, and in every part, particle, unit, or combination, within the Universe.)" So many of us pray to the God(s) as though Orisun Ase (Source Energy) is ‘out there’ somewhere, or as though we are in some way ‘separate from’ that to which we offer our prayers. This is why Ifa must bring this Truth to the forefront of our minds; ‘We are part of the Universe (Multi-verse) in a literal, not figurative, way!’ Orisun (SOURCE) flows in each of us, in every cell of our Ara Ojubo. Our own consciousness and awareness exists only as an extension and expression of the Omniscience, Omnipresence, and Omnipotence of the Infinite Consciousness of the ASE that we call Olodumare.
For further scientific verification of this Truth of Ifa, simply research the subject of Quantum Entanglement. Quantum entanglement is a physical phenomenon that occurs when pairs or groups of particles are generated, interact, or share spatial proximity in ways such that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently of the state of the others, even when the particles are separated by a large distance.
Since everything in creation is an expression of the same energy (Ase), and Quantum Entanglement has been scientifically proven, then the Universal Law of Isopo is a fact and supports the Eighth Truth of Ifa; ‘We are part of the Universe (Multi-verse) in a literal, not figurative, way!’
This Truth of course brings us right to the threshold of Truth (9) - You must never initiate harm to another human being!
