January 2021 - During the year of the COVID-19 Pandemic we have restricted our meetings to virtual Ikojopo meetings via ZOOM. We've used this period to focus much of our time on developing our knowledge of the Yoruba language and culture.

August 2021 - Between August - September, under the guidance of the Isoro Traditional Council of Chiefs, Baba Umar Sharif became the Oluwo of the House of Umar by performing his first Itefa (initiation ceremony) of a Babalawo, Baba Andrew Okunlade Barkworth. Ile Awo Orisa now has its official certificate as the House of Umar in the lineage of the Emese and Isoro traditional Council of Chiefs in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
