Moremi is the first female warlord and heroin of ancient Ile-ife. She was an Osun Sengese, who defended the kingdom from external attacks and spiritual warfare. She was the head of the women and directed the affairs of the State when it concerned women. She was one of the wives of Oduduwa but she did not give birth to any child.
