The following Breaking Requirements are to demonstrate the proper development of Southern Stone Fist & Palm Techniques. They are based on the use of 3/8 commercial particle board cut into 6 x 12 boards. The height of the breaking surface is the height of one construction (cinder) block on its edge. The boards should be placed so that no more than 1/4 of board is resting on the blocks on each side. (A) Sitting breaks must be performed in a chair that leave the knees and thighs relatively level with the breaking surface. (B) Standing breaks must be performed in a low horse, bow & arrow,
or appropriate stance. Stone Fist Gallery

Achieving these breaks will require diligent practice and hand training. It will also require some pain and perseverance. You should go through the first two levels of hand training on homemade handbags before attempting these breaking techniques.
