This website is dedicated to the Students of Seifu A.S. Umar Sharif, MA. It is also dedicated to the promotion and propagation of the Traditional Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts. Our goal is to inform, educate, inspire, encourage, and motivate others to improve their lives by applying The Wisdom of the Ancients.

As your teacher and host, Seifu Sharif [aka: Xia` Xue' Gong] [aka: Tobi Alakoso] is dedicated to helping each of you to remember and nurture the Spirit of Wu-Te and the powers dormant within you.

What is Qigong (Chi Kung)?

Every time you do a natural yawn and stretch, you are actually doing natures form of body-mind energy manipulation. Which is why you feel slightly more awake and energized after the experience. And consider also, that while you are engaged in a natural yawn and stretch, your mind goes blank. You're not thinking about what came before and what will come after it. You are completely in the moment. So Qigong is one cultural fragment of this evolutionary legacy that we share as human beings. The legacy stretches across continents. And we are not alone, by the way! If you have pets likes kits, birds or dogs, or if you enjoy the opportunity to observe other animals you will see that they also focus their attention, regulate their breathing, and have very specific postures and movements when waking up, stalking, warding off, etc. This is their form of natural body-mind energy manipulation. There are literally hundreds of styles and variations of qigong practice. Even exercises for specific ailments. In Me'je Oruka we teach and practice several systems:

  • The Fire Flower System of Qigong
  • The Da Mo 12 Palms System of Qigong
  • The 18 Mudra System of Qigong
  • The 16 Step Gin Gong Qigong
  • 7 Animals Qigong

Chi Meditation - is the act of focusing ones attention on 'feeling' the Chi that flows through and around the body.
