This website is dedicated to the Students of Seifu A.S. Umar Sharif, MA. It is also dedicated to the promotion and propagation of the Traditional Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts. Our goal is to inform, educate, inspire, encourage, and motivate others to improve their lives by applying The Wisdom of the Ancients.

As your teacher and host, Seifu Sharif [aka: Xia` Xue' Gong] [aka: Tobi Alakoso] is dedicated to helping each of you to remember and nurture the Spirit of Wu-Te and the powers dormant within you.

Why Should you involve your children in the Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts?

Traditional Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts are not just physical. They are Metaphysical and Metaphorical. A well structured program in these traditional arts can expose the student to all of the important questions in life, in a context where they can form a balanced, self determined approach to life and its many challenges. The martial and healing arts provide innumerable metaphors and analogies that can serve as guidepost not only around matters of violent conflict; but in the many facets of everyday life. As we study and compare the realm of human affairs with the larger struggle for survival among all species on this planet we can discover great lessons about how to avoid violence and Create Peaceful Space.

adjdamo.jpgMartial and healing arts training can also help the individual to harness their Higher Potential in ways that few other systems of study can achieve. One of the most famous, widely read books among military personnel and business executives cross culturally is entitled, The Art of War by a brilliant Chinese strategist, Sun Tzu [c. 350 BC]. Why among both military and business people? Because conflict, struggle, and the process of overcoming, share certain uniform characteristics regardless of whether they occur in warfare, in a business opportunity, in a marriage, or in the relationship between parents, children, or friends.

One is never too old or too young to step onto this path. The relationships between children and parents can be greatly enhanced and the channels of communication can be swung wide open in the environment that a shared training experience creates. Traditional Afro-Asian Martial and Healing Arts training offers its participants and opportunity for lifelong fitness, wellness, and community.
